I don’t mind when a Kennedy dies, I don’t mind when two Kennedys die. I’ll never own my home, I’ll never make a change. We live to serve a class smaller than us, But I love the birds, I love the trees I love the flowers, I love the sea So have a few drinks, Make a couple friends, Write a few words, Sing a couple songs, Make a some fat beats, Rent a home, Be alone, Do whatever. Sometimes doing something is better than it isn’t, Sometimes being alive is better than it isn’t. I don’t mind when a Kennedy dies, I don’t mind when a Roosevelt dies. Hey. Did your friends in Australia like the song? Did your mates in Croydon sing along? My pal in Japan said it wasn’t his thing, But he’s a sweet guy, so it’s okay. My mum think it’s nice that I’m trying to sing, My wife thinks it’s good that I’m not always drinking. And I don’t know who’ll listen to this, And I don’t know who could like this, But if you’ve heard me for a second or two, Then it’s cool as shit to be alive with you.

On my throat I wrote your name I keep you wit’ me like a stain Got dirty reasons not to stay Two crippled islands in the rain Now throw it up please go away Got holy rollers in my brain They’re crying baby let me stay Outside its blue and black and grey Oh yeah it’s blue and black and grey Cause you’re the only one I know I got this story that I wrote I got you in it quote for quote Hey Bobby pass on down this note Do you like me yes or no Still got your name up on my throat Bury you deep down like a stone Dig in the dirt and say hello Deep in my roots is where you grown Cause you're the only one I know

Swiftly moving water calms me down when I just can't get myself up off of the ground. You show me what it's like to love myself and someone else at the same time. Hope - it's not a dangerous thing when two people like us are taking turns steering. It meant so much that I wrote it down - how you and I went 1,000 miles without burning out. Hold me - I am crying. But this time I'm not crying from the blues. hold me - I am crying. I just feel so much when I see something pretty when I'm with you. I just feel so much when I see something pretty when I'm with you.

LABEL STATEMENT:
“It’s been over a year since Audio Antihero last released any music and I’d no plans to bring the label back. But the endless atrocities committed by Israel remind me that we all have to do something to help and openly object. And this is something small that I still kinda know how to do.

The compilation is primarily intended to raise funds for the UPA’s essential work in Palestine. But I also want to show our solidarity with the Palestinian people and our opposition to the Israeli government as well as our own. We cannot be too polite or too afraid to acknowledge that Palestinians are living under apartheid and that even protected classes (children, the disabled, medics, protestors and journalists) face constant acts of racist military violence and assassination which are clearly defined as war crimes. These acts of genocide are supported, defended and funded by so many of our own governments. We don’t have the luxury of feeling unable to comment on this one sided “conflict.”

The artists that appear here span and merge genres like Hip-Hop, Indie Rock, Contemporary Classical, Alternative Pop, Freak Folk, Electronica, Ambient, Drone, Folk Punk, Bedroom Pop, Lo-Fi, Garage Rock, Psych and beyond. These contributors include longtime Audio Antihero roster members, debuting and established artists, award winning composers, published authors and in CHUCK’s case, an artist coming out of several year hiatus to show their support for the cause.

From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free.” - Jamie (they/them)

Title and cover art began as an homage to Mission of Burma's "The Horrible Truth About Burma" and wound up being what it is. I'm happy with it.
